Korean Green tea, April 06. Cost more then 100 US per 50g!
A cross between japanese green and Bi Luo Chun. Worth the experience.
Korean tea master usually add Cherry blossoms after the 3rd infus.
The tea then turns into an intense floral, almond flavor brew, best serve cool. I have to say the mouth feel and the aftertaste is more interesting then brewing it by itself. Very hard to get korean Cherry blossom though....

What do they call this tea, which part of Korea is it from, and why does it cost so much?
The tea seems to be called Chun Ha Chong (romanization probably incorrect).
Looks almost like a maocha.
This is from the Island of JeJu. The Southern part of korea. I know the price is a bit much, I was surprised by the bill too! They said is all organic hand harvested....

The price is worse than a top grade longjing...
Since you're in NYC, you might want to go by Franchia / Hangawi if you haven't already... I imagine they may be a little overpriced, but they are local and have first / second / third picked Korean wild green tea ($100 / 60 / 35 respectively for 3 oz). Very mild flavor, especially the way they prepare it there.

I don't know the difference in quality between that and the one pictured, but 50g is like 1.7 oz.
