Melon in a Pamelo

Pomelo Puerh is a very Cantonese/Hong Kong thang. Since we are fascinated by exotic herbal ingredients and YingYang balancing in our food.

Aged Pomelo skin can cure indigestion to sore throat. Adding the benefit of cooked puerh, it can cure the Worst Hangover and The Five pounds Nova Scotia lobster still sitting in my stomach....

A before photo of my 15-year-old Pomelo melon which I had to sacrifice this morning.

It was more like drinking traditional Chinese herbal tea (涼茶) then puerh. Sweet and very soft on the palate, no bitterness. Initial taste and aroma of dried kumquat. Clean and refreshing. Mellow, light astringency with earthy, mushroom tone on the finish.

The best thing was, it cured my upset stomach.

I was just introduced to the Pamelo Pu Erh last Saturday during a tea class in Flushing NY and I've been scouring the web for it. I was finally able to get a few from various sites. From your comment, I can't wait to get them and taste..Yumm...
